The Night the Animals Disappeared

Every night, the animals in Green Valley heard the same strange sound.

Knock… knock… knock…

Nobody knew where it came from.

The rabbits blamed the fox. The fox blamed the owl. Even the old elephant said, “Something is not right.”

One night, Leo the young lion decided to solve the mystery.

“I’m not afraid,” he whispered.

He followed the sound through the dark forest.

Knock… knock… knock…

Suddenly, he saw something moving behind a tree.

Leo jumped.

“Who’s there?”

No answer.

He slowly moved closer.

Then he heard a loud CRACK!

Leo ran away as fast as he could.

The next morning, something strange happened.

The rabbits were missing.

Then the fox disappeared.

Then the monkeys.

One by one, all the animals vanished.

Leo became nervous.

He followed the mysterious sound again.

This time, it led him to an old wooden house hidden deep inside the forest.

He opened the door.

Inside, he found…

ALL THE ANIMALS!

They were sitting around a table, eating cookies and playing cards.

Leo stared at them.

“What are you doing?!”

The owl laughed.

“We were planning a surprise birthday party for you!”

Leo looked at the clock.

“Oh no! I forgot my own birthday!”

Everyone burst out laughing.

Then the elephant opened the door and shouted,

“Surprise!”

Leo smiled.

But suddenly…

Everyone became silent.

The owl slowly whispered,

“Wait… who is knocking now?”
